A village beauty

Yet another creation in Gimp. But for the background and cloth pattern, I was very clear about the design. Got the wonderful free patterns from http://webtreats.mysitemyway.com/ .

Thinking of coming up with ornate version of the same.

Marking the moments from the past

Decided to try out signature brush on some of the 2011 pictures.

"Baby Tameraa"

"Dark clouds"

"Living area carpet..showing signs of exploitation."

"Bokeh from christmas lights"

"Pongal Rice"

Happy New Year 2011

I hope that this new year brings more enthusiasm, energy, new direction and a life to our routine. Spent a sleepless new year designing this new year greeting in GIMP.

It was something that I wanted to create last year itself. The idea was slightly different then. I wanted to show 2009(hen) walking away and 2010(chicken from the egg) cracking open and 2011(egg) waiting in queue. But I just wrapped up every thing and come up with the simplest one I could in such a short time. I hope that in this New year I make many more designs(no matter how small, simple or amateur they are! ) to satisfy my creative hunger.

I wish us all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year once again.

Season's Greetings 2010

My 2010 Season's greetings.

Made it in GIMP.

The only trouble is that the image quality is getting compromised online...

A day for the creepy

My 2010 (1'st) halloween design. Created in GIMP.

Used several resources from the web. Ghosts from coloring pages, moon brushes from http://hawksmont.deviantart.com/, halloween brushes (cat, graveyard, witch, bats) by redheadstock, swirl brushes by obsidian dawn. Used path tool intensively on the spider web.

Do let me know what you think of it.

I blog???

When there is nothing left to do......I guess I blog..............

“All of life is a journey which paths we take, what we look back on, and what we look forward to is up to us. We determine our destination, what kind of road we will take to get there, and how happy we are when we get there.”

Another long weekend in sight....This time it will be a cabin at the smokey mountains. Waiting to add a new chapter of experiences in my life. The last trip was quite eventful. Did things which I would not have done in India. Its not that it could be done only here....but somehow I know....In spite of being a Keralite, I have not seen 90% of the places in Kerala! My dad still talks about Mumbai darshan. I guess, I have scheduled it for my old age.
